Tournament Rules
Registration
will start 30 minutes prior to the tournament starting time.
Normal
rules of No-limit Texas Hold’em apply.
Each
player will start with 20 chips equaling 4,000 play dollars.
When
the list is full and all players are seated, each person will draw a card and the highest card will deal first. If two players draw the same card, they will draw again. The deal will rotate in a clockwise direction.
A player
may enter the tournament until the blinds are raised to 100/200. Any late players coming into the tournament will
need to post both blinds missed. (big/small)
The
blinds will be raised every fifteen minutes for the first round of play (before chip up) and every ten minutes for
the second round of play (after chip up). The tournament director will announce this. If a hand is still in progress at the
time of the raise, that hand will be finished and the blind will be raised the next hand. Blinds are as follows: $25/$50,
$50/$100, $100/$200, $200/$400, $500/$1000, $1000/$2000, $2000/$4000, $5000/$10000.
There
will be a five-minute break after the first hour of play. During this time the director will commence to chip up. All
players must forfeit their smaller chips when the director comes around to change out the chips.
Players
not at their table when they are to post a blind will have that blind posted automatically for them by the dealer. If the
player is still not at the table for their turn during the first round of betting, then their cards will be automatically
folded.
If
a player leaves the tournament early for any reason, their chips will be divided up among the rest of the players left at
the table. If for any reason there are any chips left that could not be split, they will go into the middle of the table
to be awarded to the winner of the following hand.
Once
a player is eliminated they are not allowed to buy back in or borrow chips.
The minimum
bet is the big blind. The minimum raise is anything over the big blind.
The
over sized chip rule applies only when you are raising a persons bet. For example if a person bets $400 and you throw out
a $1000 chip and you don’t declare a re-raise then it is just a call and not a raise.
Moving
players to new tables will happen as directed: if each table has four persons playing, the tables will be combined and all
players will draw for high card to determine the new dealer position. In any other case the remaining players will draw for
high card and the director will seat the players as directed. Once we are down to our final six players the
director will designate a non-playing person to deal for the rest of the remaining players. Once there is a dealer button
only the designated dealer may deal.
Remember
that the tournaments are just for fun and most importantly they are free, so there should be nothing but good times.
*There will be no cost or fees to enter these tournaments.
They are absolutely free and they are for recreational purposes only*
No
priority will be given to the suit of the cards
If there are any disputes
they will be handled by the tournament director. The tournament director will have the final say.
The
Poker Room and the participating establishment hold the right to disqualify any player at their discretion.
Points
are as follows: 1st – 1000, 2nd – 750, 3rd – 500, 4th –
400, 5th – 350, 6th – 300, 7th – 250, 8th – 200. You will
also receive 50 points for each game played and an additional 100 points for bringing a new player. Eliminating one of the
top ten point leaders will earn 100 points. Eliminating a Poker Room Employee or designated player will earn an additional
200 points. Eliminating a legend will earn an additional 200 points.
When
a table becomes available during the tournament, there will be a “losers table” game. This game will end
when the tournament is completed. There will be no re-buys or borrowing chips allowed at the loser’s table. The
chip leader will receive 200 points. If there is more than one loser’s table the over all chip leader will earn the
200 points.
At
no time will anyone be allowed to put chips in your pockets. If this happens, those chips will be eliminated from play. If
you need assistance when moving from one table to another, please ask.
There
shall be no use of any foul language or obscene gestures during tournament play. If this occurs the player(s) will be asked
to leave the tournament immediately.
No
minors will be allowed to participate in the tournament. Tournaments are for players 21 and over. No exceptions.
